REDA from Sheep to Shop Internship Application

This form is for applicants who wish to apply to participate in the REDA Sheep to Shop three-month textile internship in 2027.

Timeline

July 2026: Launch of the marketing campaign and applications open
Monday, 31 August 2026: Applications close
Early September 2026: Cape Wools SA screens applications
End of September 2026: REDA to receive the shortlist (top three applications) from Cape Wool SA
End of October 2026: REDA to select the candidate and notify the successful candidate
Thursday 1st to Friday 9th April 2027: Module 0 with Cape Wool SA
Saturday, 10th April 2027: Candidate arrives in Milan
Monday, 12th April 2027: Beginning of the internship
End of July 2027: Conclusion of the internship

Who can apply?

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible to apply to participate in the REDA internship:

Applicants must have a strong passion for the wool industry as well as the desire to become ambassadors for the wool industry in their country and/or enter in the wool industry.
Applicants must have an innovative approach and a specific interest in sustainability topics.
Possess a high level of curiosity and a strong desire to learn.
Any individual, aged between 18 and 28 years, who is currently (or aspiring to be) working in the Wool Industry
Applicants must have completed (not graduated) undergraduate studies no earlier than November 2023.
Hold a valid driver's license.
Hold a valid passport
For students coming to Italy for a 3.5-month internship, your passport must:
be valid for the entire duration of the stay; and
have an expiry date of at least three months after the planned departure date from the Schengen Area (including Italy).
Please include a copy of your passport page when applying.

Additional Information required

In addition to the completed application form, you should include the following documentation:

A one-page Letter of Motivation that explain the reason for your application. This statement should focus on your career goals and how the internship could benefit the wider wool industries.

Application Process

Stage 1: Apply Once you have submitted your application, and the application deadline has been reached, a panel of Cape Wool SA representatives will assess all applications with interviews.

Stage 2: Interviews by REDA If your application is deemed suitable, you may be shortlisted and will be invited to an interview.
