The South African Springbok wool shearing and handling team have just left for Australia to take part in the Sports Shear Australia Association's, National Shearing and Wool handling Championship.The National Shearing and Wool handing Championship will take place near Carcoar, New South Wales, Australia from 21 to 23 November.
The SA Sheep Shearing Federation has send a team to compete and they are; Hendrik Botha, Team manager, Phillip Cronje - Machine shearing judge, Herman Maartens - Wool handling judge, Jan Louis Venter - shoulder judge Wool Handling, DG Snyman and Abel Notsi - machine shearing, Mayenzeke Shweni and Zweliwile Hans - blade shearing, Elna Kitching and Tommy Calldo - wool handling.
The team will attend a welcome dinner on Friday the 21st of November, with competitions starting on Saturday the 22nd of November.
